Gelding Challenge

Geldings are the ambassadors of any breed, they are the show horses, the youth mounts, the family friend… Yet in the model horse world, Geldings are completely under appreciated. And we in AMMHA wish to bring the honor back to the wonderful Geldings of the model world!

Introducing the
AMMHA GELDING CHALLENGE!

That’s right, we want to bring those wonderful geldings back to the center stage where they belong!

Starting with the 2009 AMMHA show season, you can nominate YOUR great geldings for the challenge! Nominated geldings will be eligible for a CASH prize at the end of the season! Yep, you read that right! Cold Hard CASH!. Not ribbons, not trophies, but MONEY!

The rules:

  1. Nominate your great geldings by February 15th, 2009. To nominate, simple send your horses’ name to the club president, and be sure to pay your fees by the deadline. There is no limit to how many geldings you can nominate.
  2. A fee of $1.00 per gelding, per Challenge. If your gelding will be competing in both the Halter and Performance Challenges, fee will be $2. for him.
  3. The Top Three Great Geldings with the most halter points by the end of the 2009 season split the cash pots 50/30/20!
  4. Please clearly designate whether you want your gelding in the Halter or Performance Challenge. They will be kept separate, and will have separate cash pots.
  5. Depending on number of nominated geldings, the pot for the Performance challenge may be designated 100% to the winner, or be split 70/30.
