Maya and I enjoyed a wonderful spring-like afternoon up at this quiet Jeffco Open Space Park located near Morrison. We parked in the west lot and sloshed through muddy/snowy trails along Bear Creek to the east lot (about .25 miles one way) and then doubled back and climbed the gentle Bruin Bluff Trail (1.6 mile loop). The Bruin Bluff Trail proved a nice easy hike with a few short climbs - perfect for getting back into the swing of hiking season. The park also offers the Creek Side trail - a meadering trail that offers a wonderful look at the area's riparian ecosystem. Dogs must be leashed.
