Welcome to The All Breed Model Horse Collectors and Showers Club! Our club is open to all types of model horses, all sizes and finishes. It is a club where collectors of all ages, interests and experience levels may register and show their models. We welcome all model horse enthusiasts to participate! TABMHCSC hosts and sponsors live shows yearly which are NAMSHA member shows, as well as other novice and open shows. We are dedicated to promoting horse showing in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region!
MEMBERSHIP AND DUES
TABMHCSC has a yearly membership fee of $5.00. This fee includes eligibility for all club activities and a one year subscription to our bi-monthly newsletter. This membership is valid from the date that you join until Dec 31st of that calendar year. Membership must be renewed by January 31st or it will lapse. Please mail all membership information and fees to Frances Lowe (address above).
As a courtesy TO NEW MEMBERS ONLY, the membership fees will be pro-rated! after June application the fee would be $2.50 for the remainder of the year. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO CURRENT MEMBERS RENEWING THEIR MEMBERSHIPS LATE! They are responsible for the entire years fee in order to keep their registrations and point standings for year end awards.
One free newsletter and rule sheet will be sent to anyone requesting information on the club!
REGISTRATION FEES AND PROCEDURES
All registrations are free!! If you wish to have registration papers sent to you, you must notify the Registrar (Fran Lowe). There is no fee for the papers, however please send an 8x11” SASE for return of your registration certificates!
To register a horse please send the following in to the club on a 3x5 index card, in the exact format below I still keep a file of the actual cards in case of computer crashes. (It has been known to happen to the best of us!!!)
- Horses name
- Age
- Breed
- Color and Markings
- Make, Mold and Mfg Info
- Owners Name
- Stable Name
- Contact Information
One of the purposes of registration cards is to help identify the models that you will be showing, so please help by describing the horse as accurately as possible. If in doubt of the actual manufacturers mold name, the common identifying name may be used (i.e.: Sham, Borordino, Lady Phase etc). The Theory is… if I had the card and the model in front of me, I should be able to identify your horse by using the description on the card. Please give all Info possible!!!!!! Even if its just traditional size trotting horse brown with lighter mane and tail , head turned.
NEWSLETTER
TAMBHCSC publishes a bi-monthly newsletter. It contains club news. Local model news and events, articles about live and model horses, How-to's, and features in each issue two outstanding models owned by the members. To submit your horse for the “Cover Horse” or “Horse of the Month” award, please send a clear photo and explanation card listing the horses accomplishments, and a SASE for the return of the photo. Photo show entries may also be used!. Models featured in the Newsletter will each receive a 100 point award bonus to be tallied into their year end award points!
Advertising in the newsletter is FREE!!!! Sales lists, pictures, drawings, articles etc are always very welcome. A classified ad section will be included when submissions are available. Please place all return info on each item submitted so that it may be returned to you. Submissions may also be made by email as long as they are in standard Windows format . Photo submissions must be in jpg format! Newsletter submissions are due the 15th of the month prior to publication. (for the March issue, the deadline is February 15th, for the May issue the deadline is April 15th, etc.)
MONTHLY POINT SHOWS
TABMHCSC holds a bi-monthly photo show which is open to all entrants! The show is held and judged the first full weekend of the month in January, March, May, July, September and November. Entrants are encouraged to enter all shows. (After all, the more shows the more points, Right?) Pictures may be boarded from month to month, as long as entry fees and postage is included for results. Results may also be received by email if the entrants so wishes. It saves a lot of postage do it this way.
