The following list of museums offers a guide to fabulous museums, big and small throughout the Colorado front range and foothills:
- Denver Art Museum (Denver) - With a Just for Fun Family Center (JFFC) offering a variety of interactive endeavors, Family Backpacks guiding visitors through adventures in the museum, a Kids Corner full of fun activities, and Creative Corners through the building, the Denver Art Museum is well worth a visit on any day! To make the trip even sweeter, youth 18 years and younger are FREE through year 2020!
- KidSpace (Westminster) - Billed as a Children's Exploration Center: an indoor children's playground combined with a hands on STEM Museum, KidSpace offers a huge two story playground, planetarium, and lots of STEM activities for kids.
- Lakewood Heritage Center - A wonderful look into Lakewood's history, this museum and historic site on the edge of Belmar Park offers both FREE self-guided tours during all open hours! Pick up a brochure at the Visitor's Center or online here. Low-cost guided tours are also available 11am-noon and 2-3pm on Tuesdays through Saturday: Explore Lakewood's past as an experience guide leads you through the museum's historic structures such as the Country School and the 1930s farmhouse.
