Dun By Moonlight is a handsome 2020 bay dun Quarter Horse stallion bred by Rainbow Dreams Stables, combining an intriguing blend of Thoroughbred racing bloodlines and accomplished Quarter Horse performance heritage. Sired by Pale Moonlight, a successful Express Racing competitor, he inherits the influence of stakes-placed Oberlicht TB and the remarkable German Thoroughbred MONDRIAN, a seven-time Group 1 winner and twice-honored German Horse of the Year. His paternal pedigree also features legendary Quarter Horse racing champions JET DECK and MOON LARK, bringing generations of proven speed and athletic ability. On his dam's side, Dun By Moonlight benefits from the versatile bloodlines of Dun Zippin, whose ancestry includes Western pleasure great ZIPPOS MR GOOD BAR, an AQHA and NSBA Hall of Fame inductee, and cutting standout MR PEPONITA FLO, an NCHA Futurity Reserve Champion. Additional influence comes from AQHA Champion IMPRESSIVE MINT and the celebrated halter champion IMPRESSIVE. With his eye-catching bay dun coloring, outstanding combination of performance bloodlines, and a pedigree rich in champions across multiple disciplines, Dun By Moonlight represents an exciting young stallion with tremendous potential to contribute athleticism, versatility, and classic Quarter Horse appeal to future generations.
