Pale Moonlight is a handsome 2007 bay Quarter Horse stallion bred by October Moon Acres, Illinois, boasting an outstanding blend of European Thoroughbred racing heritage and legendary American Quarter Horse speed. A determined and willing competitor, he raced in Express Racing from 2009 through 2013, compiling a lifetime record of 14(1-0-1-3), $3,210, and si-91, including a 400-yard maiden victory as a three-year-old. Although never a top stakes contender, Pale Moonlight consistently demonstrated an admirable work ethic and competitive spirit throughout his racing career. His sire, stakes-placed Oberlicht TB, is a son of the exceptional German Thoroughbred MONDRIAN, a seven-time Group 1 winner and two-time German Horse of the Year, whose sire SURUMU captured the German Derby and earned six German leading sire titles. On his dam's side, Pale Moonlight carries the influence of two legendary Quarter Horse racing champions, JET DECK and MOON LARK, both celebrated for their remarkable speed and lasting contributions to the breed. His dam, Pale Golden, is also the dam of MCA Champion HARLEM JET, further strengthening the family's performance credentials. Combining a calm, agreeable temperament with his athletic Appendix-style background, Pale Moonlight offers an appealing prospect for producing versatile foals suited to a variety of competitive disciplines. Among his offspring is Dun By Moonlight, a striking 2020 bay dun Quarter Horse stallion out of Dun Zippin, bred by Rainbow Dreams Stables.
